General Information

London ISD is a small school district located in Nueces County Bounded by expanses of farm and ranch land to the west, north and south. The township of London itself exists for only one purpose, the education of our children. LISD serves as the centerpiece of a community made up of agricultural and residential components. Education is our primary purpose and the driving force behind all that we do. London is a community of people that has chosen to come together for the purpose of education. LISD contains 98 square miles and serves 348 students in grades Pre-K thru 8.

Our vision is to empower every student who passes through our system to become productive, responsible members of society. We have pledged ourselves to prepare all students for the challenges and changes of the future.

Feeder Pattern:  Tuloso-Midway High School, Flour Bluff High School.

Special Programs: Band, Choir, Gifted and Talented, Spanish, Accelerated Reading Incentives Program, President's Challenge Fitness Awards Program, 8th Grade Science Trip to Big Bend, Cinco De Mayo, 7th Grade Alamo Trip, 4th Grade Goliad Trip, Student Health Advisory Program and Support for the students with special needs and learning differences. Trips and programs change from year to year depending on support for the program.

After School:  Ballet Folklorico, Piano, Tutorial Program, Summer Basketball Camp and Latchkey Program.

Extra Curricular Activities:  Volleyball, Basketball, Soccer, Student Council, Safety Patrol, Sound Crew, Spelling Bee, Talent Show, 4-H, Boy Scouts, UIL Academic Competitions and Book Club.

Parent Involvement:  PTO, Fall Festival, Field Day, Accelerated Reading  Incentives Program, Internet Safety, Pumpkin Patch, Birthday Book Club, Athletic Booster Club, and Site Based Decision Making.

Community Involvement:  Caller-Times Subscription Program, Cub Scouts, 4-H Club, Angel Food Ministries, and Girl Scouts.
