I was born in Refugio and have two brothers and one sister. I graduated in 1980 from Refugio High School. I attended SWT for two years and came back home to graduate from CCSU which is now known as A&M Corpus Christi. I have two sons and my husband who is in sales.   I have a bachelor of science in Kinesiology and Business. I have been teaching for 32yrs. My first teaching job I taught high school math at Woodsboro ISD. I taught MS PE at Aransas County ISD for two years. Then spent 5 years teaching at Cullen MS. I moved on to King High School teaching PE and Business classes. I then spent 5 years at Tuloso Midway HS teaching Business classes. Now I am at London teaching business classes. I have coached Basketball, Volleyball, Wrestling, Powerlifting, Track and Tennis.  I started the volleyball program at Cullen MS, King HS, Tuloso Midway HS and London HS and was blessed with great athletes.
