Congratulations to the London Mock Trial team on a great showing this weekend in the District Mock Trial competition held virtually this year with three rounds on Saturday and the London team earning a spot in the final round on Sunday afternoon. The London team, including Gia Maddalone, Kylie Suggs, Cameron Martinez, Alishba Kazmi, Ashlynn Friudenberg, Ryan Molina, Caden Martinez, Angelica Pauls, and Michaelah Maddalone competed against four out of the seven schools entered in the contest and finished in 2nd Place overall. Emma Kenyon competed in the Courtroom Artist contest in the second round of the contest.
Several London students received special recognition and scholarship money this year:
Emma was awarded 2nd Place Courtroom Artist and a $75 Scholarship.
Angelica and Ashlynn tied for 3rd Place Best Witness, with each awarded a $300 Scholarship.
Caden Martinez was 2nd Place Best Witness and was awarded a $400 Scholarship.
Cameron Martinez tied for 1st Place Best Witness and was awarded a $600 Scholarship.
Kylie Suggs was recognized as Best Advocate 3rd Place and was awarded a $1500 Scholarship.
